Richard Sutton

I am a technical architect and technical project manager with experience working across the IT delivery lifecycle from enterprise architecture through to live support.

These roles have spanned a range of industries including retail, banking, oil & gas, defence and government and have seen me working both supplier and client-side on complex, large-scale deliveries.

I have been lucky enough to work across a breadth of roles from infrastructure to business change. Seeing the different drivers and contributions of each team has highlighted to me the importance of having everyone striving to achieve the same outcome. I particularly enjoy working in roles that allow me to bridge potential gaps between technical and non-technical teams – keeping stakeholder groups aligned.

Outside of work I enjoy cycling and have a love of snowboarding, scuba diving and independent travel.

Previous experience

Prior to joining DMW in 2014, I was with Accenture for 13 years in their Technology Architecture practice. I worked in a variety of roles as Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Enterprise Architect and Delivery Manager. Before that I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Cambridge, specialising in vibration analysis and control systems.
