Problem solving, engineering and IT have all been passions of mine since a very young age – I consider myself very lucky as I get to practice my hobbies every day at work.
I joined the Accenture graduate programme in the autumn of 2008. Over the next 10 years, I was promoted as a Cloud Technical Architect within the Implementation Services practise.
I joined DMW in 2018 and I have had the privilege of helping many of our clients design and deliver successful migrations to the cloud.
I am at my happiest and most effective when I am leading large delivery teams to bring to life solutions that resolve business problems.
Typically, this type of role allows me to work with business users to understand their problems, design pragmatic solutions using the latest technologies and then coordinate the work efforts of a technical team to bring an enterprise-scale platform to fruition.
As a problem solver, I excel in breaking down complex issues into simple, deliverable solutions.
I am a certified AWS Solutions Architect with extensive agile delivery experience across a wide variety of different industries.
My personal career highlights include:
• Implementing a breast screening system enhancement across 8 NHS hospitals - an important project where the benefits to the end-users were directly visible.
• Designing and managing the implementation of a series of web portal upgrades to aid 50,000 users from disparate organisations to securely register for a corporate email service.
• Acting as the lead Technical Consultant for a large UK government department that hosts a critical big data reporting service. The primary aim for this programme was to migrate from an on-premises infrastructure to cloud-hosted infrastructure. As part of this engagement, I led a successful proof-of-concept phase to demonstrate the advanced capabilities of the cloud which would help modernise the platform.
