Background
I joined DMW at the start of 2020 to focus on technology architecture in Financial Services.
I started my career in technology consulting in 2005, after studying in Zurich, New York, and Vienna. Finally having to face up to the world of work, I joined a graduate programme at Accenture and remained with them for ten years, initially focusing on delivering large technology programmes and eventually architecting the solutions to be delivered.
From there, I moved to Deloitte’s Technology Strategy and Architecture group before moving on to the Cloud Engineering team. I spent five exciting years further honing my craft before leaving to join DMW.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my kids and wife. I make the best of life in London and go to as many gigs as I can, and I continue to pine for the start of the ski season.
Skillset
For the past eight years, I have made Financial Services my priority and I am particularly excited about shaping Cloud computing into an enterprise-scale solution for this sector.
Throughout my career, I have managed high profile projects, owning large budgets and managing teams of over 20 direct reports. My focus is on full life-cycle projects - I enjoy bringing strategies to life and seeing them through to achieve their outcomes. This has provided me with a breadth of knowledge, from evaluating business opportunities and risks, developing technology visions and propositions, business cases, architecture and solution design through to project delivery.
I have experience working with C-level stakeholders, vendors and partner organisations as well as global in-house teams. At times, I have used novel and different commercial and delivery models to shape successful solutions.
I am excited by technology and love working with clients to transform their business.
Career Highlights
My enduring claim to fame is having been in charge of the performance testing of a new system for the UK’s 999 emergency call network. The task combined technical challenge and a need for masterful project execution as there was no margin for error.More recently highlights include:
• Advised a major bank on a strategy and roadmap to move all their IT assets to public Cloud providers.
• Assured the integration architecture of a major UK grocery retailer and identified business-critical technology risks.
• Built up the architecture organisation of a London FinTech as interim CTO.
• Designed a new digital bank to be used by commercial banking customers for one of the world’s largest banks.
Above all, the proudest achievements for me are always when I can support others to achieve exceptional success.
