I joined DMW in 2016 after a six month internship, during which I had worked as a developer on a migration planning tool developed internally. Prior to that, I spent five years studying software engineering at EPITECH in Paris. I was born and raised in France, and for as long as a I can remember have always been attracted by the mesmerising blue light of a computer screen.
I am passionate about data exploitation and automation. The time I don’t spend analysing data or writing software I spend being a Scout Leader, or playing the piano and the guitar.
I am an expert in C and Python programming with a background in data engineering, automation and operation. I have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and I love to develop at pace to test ideas and prove solutions. I have experience and interest in explaining complex technical concepts and knowledge transfer. In my previous client assignments, I enjoyed acting as a bridge between business and technology. I thrive on large projects with many moving parts.
I have supported the data collection and analysis for development of a new cloud business case for a client. This involved developing Python scripts to automate retrieval and consolidation of configuration and pricing data from different data sources. This enabled detailed modelling and improved the forecasting of potential on-premises to cloud migration costs. Responsibilities included:
- Building the core scripts for data extraction and analysis
- Writing SQL queries, views and snippets of code to further improve the quality of the reports generated
- Assisting colleagues and providing reporting expertise.
