Background

I joined DMW to become a consultant in 2019 as an experienced agile, operations and business transformation specialist. I have a reputation for delivering value in complex organisational change environments.

For many years I worked as a permanent member of staff in a large commercial organisation leading on many transformational and positive disruption activities.

I enjoy challenges that others think are impossible, have a passion for cooking and enjoy running (well jogging!) when time allows.  My twitter account is @MrJohnKendrick where you can see I sporadically blog about technology and agile.

Skillset

As a delivery specialist, I have experience spanning business transformation, design thinking, agile at scale and digital operations. I have built on a broad background of job roles spanning test management through global operations, agile project delivery and running global digital innovation hubs for a multinational organisation. I have a strong focus on driving and delivering positive change with a constant theme of ensuring value is assessed and realised.

I am a certified Leader in the implementation of SAFe, a Certified Scrum Master, a Certified Product Owner, PMI PMP qualified and am a thought leader in modern operational management techniques having assisted in the development of material for three books.

Career Highlights

In recent years, I have focused on scaling agile delivery and operations to increase productivity within customer relationship management via organisational design improvements. Significant high value deliveries include creating a global platform as a service offering for CRM, designing and implementing operating models for the adoption of cloud, and redefining governance and management processes to enable rapid adoption of agile.

I specialise in leading and empowering teams during significant change. By assessing processes and leveraging technology opportunities, I have managed to implement significant improvements in organisations that were historically resistant to change.
