James Woodhouse

Managing Consultant

I am a technical programme/project manager with 15 years’ experience across the full delivery lifecycle.

My most recent roles have been in Telecommunications but I have also worked in Retail Banking, Pharmaceuticals and International Development.

I spent the first three years of my career on systems integration engagements where I was responsible for the design and development of specific technical elements of the solution. From there my career followed a typical consultancy trajectory moving from technical project management into programme management/leadership.

The three elements of my role I enjoy the most are: shaping a piece of work, aligning stakeholders … and the inevitable day-to-day ‘problem solving’ that comes with complex, large-scale delivery.

Most recently I led the end-to-end, full service delivery of Vodafone Broadband (consumer and enterprise) following the acquisition of Cable & Wireless in 2012.

Outside work I enjoy cycling, parkrun and hill walking with friends. In 2016 I cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats which was an amazing ‘bucket list’ experience. My passion is flying although I haven’t had a lot of time for that recently with two young children. We’re in the process of building our own ‘Grand Design’ in the Cotswolds which is a lifelong dream come true.
