Background

I joined DMW in 2019 after working for 5 years at KPMG. During this time, I was based in their Technology Practice and worked with UK and European clients.

Prior to KPMG, I worked for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a Management Consultant and focussed on technology delivery. I first started working for BAE Systems Naval Ships in 2010, where I specialised in project management and warship delivery. I enjoy supporting clients to develop and deliver lasting change.

Outside of work, I like to travel and explore new countries, embracing the variety of cultures and experiences that this brings.

Skillset

I specialise in Target Operating Model design and delivery in addition to programme management of major transformation programmes. With a blend of consulting skills, I am adept at Target Operating Model design, strategic direction setting, delivery team leadership and stakeholder management.

I am experienced in setting up and running project and portfolio management offices and delivering transformative change projects, including enhancing processes and mentoring people to deliver lasting change.

I take a pragmatic approach to solving client problems and I am not afraid to roll-up my sleeves to test new ideas. This gives me a unique and efficient approach to tackling engagements and helps to ensure that delivery and value are understood at each stage of the project lifecycle.

Career Highlights

I was responsible for leading a team of over 10 people to set up and manage the Portfolio Management Office (PfMO) on a large change portfolio for a central government client. The Portfolio Management Office supported 11 programmes across the portfolio and was targeted at delivering real change in the Justice space. I was responsible for establishing the governance model, defining the PfMO processes and setting up a hub and spoke model to enable the programmes to receive targeted project management support.

I established and provided oversight of the PfMO team, coaching and training client staff so that the PfMO could be handed over to permanent staff. There was real satisfaction from the client that the team and I had successfully set up and handed over the PfMO.
