My broad experience means that my work varies substantially. In the last few years however I’ve tended to focus on operational improvement and system management projects.
This has taken various forms including management roles, definition and execution of service improvement programmes and implementation of revised service management arrangements and tools. Significant projects include an interim IT Director role with budgetary accountability for $50m, definition and execution of a major service improvement programme for a public sector client and transition of a series of global trading applications into production including the setup of a global support organisation. My practical experience is backed-up by PRINCE project management and ITIL Service Management qualifications.
An early interest in adventure sports has inevitably faded as family commitments have taken hold and away from work I’m now most likely to be found on a bike somewhere. Coaching or judging races at a junior cycling club takes a growing amount of my time but I also enjoy training for major cycling events, having taken part in amateur stages of the Tour de France for each of the last two years.
I have over 25 years consulting experience, joining DMW after taking a Physics degree at Durham University and starting my consulting career with PwC. My experience covers all aspects of IT delivery and management, operating up to CIO level in both consulting and interim management roles.
