DMW leads the way to a less risky future
DMW’s project brief was to assess their current IT disaster recovery capabilities and associated risk profile against corporate & operational business requirements. Then provide a set of recommendations to reduce this risk.
We considered all of the interdependencies between the key IT systems and constructed a detailed loss model, which quantified and demonstrated the tangible and financial impact that would occur in the event of a number of major IT disaster scenarios.
This was supplemented by recommending and articulating the necessary frameworks and plans required to reduce this risk, which included migrating their mainframe & critical applications to an uplifted data centre footprint.
The project successfully raised the business profile of the IT disaster recovery agenda and helped support the board’s prioritisation and subsequent sign-off of a multi-million pound IT disaster recovery capability improvement programme.
