Protecting Infrastructure

IT Infrastructure is changing.
There is a relentless drive for cost reduction and service improvement.

  • New models of operation, hosting;
  • IAAS; new sourcing arrangements
  • New client trends - consumerisation / BYO models.

Are your security practices keeping up?

Infrastructure and its management is going through significant change with the adoption of virtualisation in server and client estates; utilisation of outsource infrastructure management and cloud based services. New client models such as VDI and consumerisation are also changing the infrastructure management space as well.

Each of these changes brings new issues and revives many old security, privacy and compliance issues. But in all them there are also significant opportunities for increasing control, stability and security. What is vital is to seize the opportunity as the programmes are defined and executed. This can include:

  • Developing and implementing policy to enable use of new technology and enhance business utilisation and benefit.
  • Designing virtual environments to effectively control third party access within your information networks; strong authentication; access design; logging and auditing
  • Managing privileged (Administrator) credentials and access through “Privileged Access Management” infrastructure
  • Selecting Managed Security Operations Services to work in collaboration with outsourced infrastructure and networks outsourcers.
  • Designing cloud service assurance technologies and processes
