Corporate Social Responsibility
DMW is committed to corporate and social responsibility (CSR) in our dealings with the community at large, the environment and at work.
DMW is working closely with St Luke’s Parochial Trust, a charity which supports the community in a deprived area of central London.
Despite being surrounded by affluence, the St Luke’s community is a pocket of deprivation that has the second highest rate of child poverty in the UK.
DMW gives staff paid time to dedicate to charity/CSR projects. We’re currently working with St Luke’s in three main ways:
- Pro bono consulting The St Luke’s community centre is undergoing a large project of renovation and refurbishment. DMW is providing advice on the provision of IT equipment and services.
- Debate it! DMW is running an after school debating club aimed at helping children from the EC1 area to develop literacy and communication skills and in so doing, their self esteem. Debate it! gives the children an opportunity to learn a new skill in a small group and to engage in current affairs in a way that’s relevant to their lives. The debating sessions culminate in an inter-school competition for the students.
- Fundraising activities DMW staff have undertaken various activities including organising clothes swap parties, selling second-hand clothes at Whitecross Market and providing Secret Santa gifts and hot meals at Christmas for the St. Luke's community.
