John Dowthwaite

John has over 20 years management consultancy experience. He has managed major infrastructure programmes, operational improvement and cost reduction projects working across a broad sector range including investment banking, insurance, retail, utilities and the public sector.
He has a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Durham. After university, John joined IBM as a systems consultant, followed by consultancy work with PA and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) before joining DMW in 1992. He became a board member in 1996.
John is a leading expert in the field of IT operations and outsourcing and has worked with most of the main suppliers on deals ranging from a few million pounds to hundreds of millions
