Andy Buckroyd

Client Services Director

I have over 20 years consulting experience of implementing and managing complex systems and infrastructure, joining DMW after taking a Physics degree at Durham University and starting my consulting career with PwC. The experience I’ve gained over this time ranges from programme and project management through to software development and transition of systems into operation.

My work has continued to vary, but in the last few years I’ve worked mainly on operational improvement and system management projects. This has included management of IT Service Reviews, definition of IT Service Improvement Programmes and delivery of revised service management arrangements and tools. Significant projects include transition of a series of global applications into production for BP, and defining and executing a service improvement programme for the MoD. My practical experience is backed-up by PRINCE project management and ITIL Service Management qualifications.

An early interest in climbing and paragliding has inevitably faded somewhat as family commitments have taken hold and away from work I’m now most likely to be found cycling. I particularly enjoy the challenge of long distance ‘Sportive’ events and have set myself the challenge of completing an amateur stage of the Tour de France in 2011.
